About EvoFaith
A new evolution of spiritual community.
EvoFaith is a new kind of spiritual community:
• Online:
EvoFaith breaks free of the limitations of geography and specific times for the community to gather. EvoFaith turns spiritual practice into an on-demand, 24/7, global experience.
• Evolving:
As the name implies, EvoFaith is not a static, fixed reality, but an evolving, self-organising, learning community. We build the community together.
• Evolutionary:
EvoFaith is rooted in the conviction that spiritual experience and scientific knowing are both important and complimentary sources of wisdom. There is no conflict between them, but together they enrich our knowledge, wisdom, and experience of ourselves, others, and the universe.
• Welcoming:
EvoFaith is open to anyone who is looking for a spiritual home. We embrace a diversity of perspectives and human experiences, and we believe that we all grow more whole and more human as we learn from one another and celebrate our differences.
This website is only the first step in the evolution of EvoFaith. There are a lot of exciting new developments coming in 2020!
As EvoFaith grows, we encourage you to make the tribe your own by joining in conversations in the comments on the blog, or by making use of the spiritual practice guides we offer, or by engaging with us on social media. EvoFaith is for you, and your participation will help to shape it into a truly new evolution of spiritual community.

Our Values
EvoFaith is built on three basic values:
- Inclusive, affirming, diverse Community:
- Spirituality always requires us to journey with others, and so we believe in the value of community. The EvoFaith Community is all about sharing in belonging, mutual support, and care.
- True spiritual community must be inclusive, affirming, and diverse. The goal is that anyone who is willing to engage with others respectfully and kindly can find a spiritual home, participate, and contribute here.
- Intentional, practice-based Spirituality:
- Spirituality is about intentional practices that teach us to live more connected, whole, meaningful, and contributing lives. Drawing on spiritual insights and practices from many faith traditions, and creating some new ones along the way, EvoFaith offers resources and guidance for deepening our spirituality together.
- Spirituality is a journey of evolution, personally and collectively. This means that spirituality is expressed both in a commitment to justice – to resisting all that divides and destroys, and in a commitment to love – to celebrating all that connects and creates.
- Open, truth-seeking Curiosity:
- Spirituality is not about finding answers, so much as it is about learning to ask the best questions. This requires an openness both to finding truth wherever it may be found, and to diving into Mystery and the freedom of not knowing.
- A feature of curiosity-driven spirituality is to view all God-talk as metaphorical, all Scripture as mythic (truer than literal and factual approaches), and all ideas, doctrines, and theologies as evolving human attempts to know the unknowable.
